How many fire wardens do I need?
UK law does not set a fixed number. Your fire risk assessment decides it, taking into account the size and layout of the premises, the number of people and the level of risk. Common practice is at least one trained fire warden per floor or department, with enough cover for shifts, holidays and absence.
What is the difference between a fire warden and a fire marshal?
In the UK the two titles are used interchangeably and describe the same role: a trained person who helps prevent fires, raises the alarm and leads a safe evacuation. This course covers both titles.
